Content

The foundation year (Year 0) is carefully designed to provide the subject specific knowledge and the academic study skills that are essential for success. In this first year of your programme you will be introduced to the major aspects of both profit and not for profit organisations, studying this alongside other modules such as: Mathematical Functional Skills Essentials and English Academic Skills.

In Year 1, you will acquire a greater understanding of the core principles in business management, specifically designed to address the issues of the modern business environment. Modules studied in Year 1 include: People and Organisations, Accounting for Organisations, Creative Environment, Principles of Economics, Marketing and Enterprise, Business Data Analysis.

In Year 2, you will be given the opportunity to undertake modules to develop your understanding of key management principles, approaches and theories. Example modules include: Managing Organisations, Managing Operations, Business Research, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship.

In your final year, you will be given the chance to work on a business project. Modules studied are likely to include: Corporate Strategy, Ethics, Organisations and Society, Cross Cultural Management, International Marketing and Contemporary Case Studies in Human Resource Management.
